On the different Gallery pages on this site we are pleased to display a changing selection of our members' images on a variety of themes. The images will display automatically as a slide show. The images in this Gallery are the twenty best selected from many more submitted by Club members and entered into a regular annual competition against another local club, the Herefordshire Photographic Society (HPS), who "hosted" this year's open contest in an online presentation to both clubs on the 21st May because of the continuing Coronavirus emergency. In a departure from standard practice the twenty entries from Hay and an equal number from HPS were scrutinised and marked beforehand by a panel of members of a third, uninvolved club, the Beacon Camera Club of Malvern.  During the online presentation the images were introduced  and critiqued by an experienced judge, Ian Thompson, who otherwise played no further part in the marking process. It sounds complicated but it was very well administered by HPS and it works!
